5K Mud Run and Festival

Join us for our 2nd Annual 5K Mud Run and Festival!

On Saturday, October 12th we will be holding our Second 5K Mud Run and Festival to benefit the Family Service Association.
We are looking forward to a fun filled day of activities kicking off with the 5K Mud Run and Obstacle Course at the Waterhill Farm (3050 County Highway 8) in Oneonta at 10am. This 5K run will take you around the beautiful Waterhill Farm and have you climbing unique obstacles, practice your balance across waist deep water, and jumping over fire!

There will be competitive and non competitive heats throughout the morning.

We will have a full day of activities which will include: Local DJ - D. Wooden, Food Trucks, Awestruck Ciders and will finish the day with Music Mafia playing at the finish line area.

The Mission of the Family Service Association is to support individuals and family strengths and to assist area residents in meeting their own needs. We offer the following:

Clothing Program: Consists of "gently worn" clothing and household items that are donated and made available through the FREE STORE.
Collaboration with Oneonta Clothing Guild: Provides new sneakers, snow pants & boots for the children in the Oneonta School District.
Back to School Program: Provides families with school supplies for their children to ensure school readiness.
Emergency Service Program: Assistance with urgent needs, involving housing, domestic violence, and the Department of Social Services.
The Thanksgiving Food Basket Project & Christmas Adopt a Family Project: Provides food, gifts, or both to families.
Parents Resource Workshops: Individualizing parent education/support workshops are offered to all parents and caregivers.
Training Program: Volunteer training opportunities that are open to all area residents, including adults and students to gain work experience or improve job skills.
